“ I have been staying at the island vista since I was a toddler. One of my favorite things about the resort is the cypress room. Every year on vacation I eat breakfast with Terry and Stella. These two servers are phenomenal, and probably some of the sweetest people you will ever meet. They always take the time to come say hello, give hugs, and compliment us. I’m so pleased I’ve gotten to know them over the years and they both recognize me when I come in. If you ever eat here, either ask for Terry or Stella. As for the food, the food is amazing. The breakfast is always consistent with good quality and if you’re a sweet tea lover, their sweet tea is done very well. It’s always a delight to eat here. I recommend it, 100%. ”
“ Husband and I stayed at the Island Vista Resort and visited The Cypress Room twice during our stay; once for dinner and another time for breakfast. Prices are on the higher side but the food was good. Service was great and everyone we came into contact with was very attentive. Just be warned, as of the writing of this review, there is an 18% gratuity that is applied to your bill regardless of party size. Hubby and I were aware of this since it was mentioned on our Hotel information paper, but just want to be sure others visiting are aware as well. ”
“ Our first night at the Island Vista we decided to try The Cypress Room for dinner. Sat at the bar and my beau had a beer and I had a Crown Royal apple & salted caramel concoction. For dinner we ordered pizza and wings. It was delicious! Fresh made dough, sauce and veggies. Wings were cooked thru and crispy on the outside-just like I wanted. Our bartender was accommodating and staff were friendly! Chill atmosphere & quiet for a Friday night but it was November. Our second night, we called in an order to pick up. We both decided on a Cypress Room Burger! Cooked to order. I loved the smoky bacon and red marmalade onions! Fries were seasoned and crispy on the outside. We will be eating here on our next visit! Remember they add gratuity to each bill and it’s well deserved! ”
“ This place is extremely good, they cater for all tastes and they do it well. From a tasty burger from the tiki hut, to small plates by the bar, to fine dining at an exquisite standard, or a really tasty pizza for take away (the dough is great). Pictured below are the flounder with crab topping followed by a creme brulee and a keylime pie. The portions are very generous and that was after a tasty salad. Shannon the waitress was bubbly and a joy and she just tempted us into them. The bar and the Tiki hut are fun and they are staffed by very likable personalities. Just tell Morgan, John or Alex that I sent you and they will look at you funnily. They will seriously go out their way to make sure you get what you want and they contributed greatly to our vacation fun. ”
“ Amazing restaurant. Came here for New Year’s Eve. The food was perfectly cooked and the service was top notch. They also had a gentleman playing the guitar who did an excellent job. 10/10 would recommend for any visit to Myrtle. It’s a nice atmosphere with great food and service ”

“ Enjoyed a wonderful elegant dinner this evening with our two daughters. It was the perfect evening with very attentive wait staff. From the moment you walk through the doors you are treated like a vip right from the start. Love the dining by the ocean outdoors it was such a nice touch to end our last evening here and the food was wonderful as were the drinks we had! 10/10 thank you for making our vacation a memorable one! ”
